Frequently Asked Questions DTM CX86e Colour Tag Printer
DTM CX86e is the world’s smallest and most cost-effective LED dry toner colour label printer and helps companies to produce very durable, versatile and professional colour labels and tags that maximize advertising impact vs. standard black and white thermal prints.
Whether they are vouchers, coupons, value-added receipts, ID tags with photos, visitor badges, price and promotion stickers, pasted labels, sleeves, loop ribbons, wristbands or labels for cardboards and boxes, the DTM CX86e makes it fast and easy to print high-quality full-colour labels and tags for signage and product identification that will attract customer attention and increase sales.
It is the ideal solution when no further processing, e.g. by means of an applicator, is required. Tags, vouchers, coupons and many more are printed on-site and can be handed out or applied immediately.
Due the compact size the CX86e is ready to use everywhere and easy to transport. It can be used in a variety of ways, including personalisation. Companies can take their advertising campaigns, stalls and fairs to a new level by enabling customers to add personalisation on-site.

Windows users have the possibility to download our basic design programs NiceLabel Free (DTM Edition) from our DTM Print Website. It allows you to import graphics, logos, etc. and add elements like bar codes. You can also design your labels in a full featured design program, save them as high-resolution .jpg, .tiff, .bmp, .png or .pdf files and use our software to arrange them onto your label stock and print. Or, you can print directly out of your own graphic design software such Adobe Illustrator as long as that software allows you to change the page sizes to the sizes of your labels.
10. Does the printer do barcodes?
Yes it’s possible with NiceLabel Free (DTM Edition) which includes just about every barcode font used in business and industry world-wide, including 2D bar codes. Also any other graphic software which supports creation of barcodes can be used.
11. Do I have to buy my labels and toner from you?
You are free to purchase label substrates from anyone you choose. For non-DTM Print labels, you’ll see varying levels of water-resistance, gloss and other characteristics. Remember to always test first! The CX86e toner cartridge is designed specifically for this printer and has to be ordered from an authorised DTM Print partner.
We have a wide selection of dry toner substrates available, which can be printed with the DTM CX86e. (See DTM Genuine Substrates for Dry Toner Printers sample book)
