CX86e Firmware Updates

Download the latest CX86e firmware release here Download

• Unzip "cx86e-firmware.zip" - contents are the firmware update tool "FWUP_DTM_010500_1.exe" and a folder "A01.xx" containing the latest firmware release.
• Make sure your CX86e is connected via USB and "ready to print" - firmware update is not possible while printer is in an error state.
• Run the firmware update tool as administrator, choose a language and agree to the software license agreement.
• Read the important notice carefully before proceeding with "Next". Use the "References" button to specify the downloaded firmware file (should be .pjl), click "Next".
• Before clicking "Start Search" it is recommended to uncheck "Network" in the "Access Point" section. Select your printer from the list, click "Next".
• Enter your printers Administrator password (default* is 999999) and click "Start update", leave "Environmental setting" untouched.
• Confirm and wait for the update to finish, then click "Next" and then "Exit". Your printer will reboot once the firmware update is done.

* = default for SN starting with AK, for SN starting with BW default is the SN in lower case without the last 2 digits (PW bw01234567 for SN BW01234567A0)

Power supply should be kept until completing the whole updating process. Otherwise, printer’s board will be out of order and needs to be repaired.
