New Colour Matching Software Available

Primera partners with ColorGATE to offer Productionserver for CX/FX1200e

WIESBADEN, GERMANY (13 September 2017) – Primera Technology, Inc., one of the world’s leading manufacturers of speciality printers, announced today that the colour matching software solution Productionserver by ColorGATE Digital Output Solutions GmbH now supports Primera’s CX1200e Digital Printing and FX1200e Finishing System.

Productionserveris a modular and scalable RIP, workflow and colour management software. Its latest version, Productionserver 10, features increased RIP speed through parallel tasks processing, excellent colour management and fast profiling, optimal colour replication and consistent reproduction. By offering the best possible spot colour representation in digital printing the solution ensures cost-efficient and colour consistent digital label printing.

Another highlight is the Ink Saver technology, which can reduce toner costs by up to 30% without any visual losses in quality. Ink Saver technology uses special device link profiles to optimise colour composition. This technology reduces the CMY portions in the motif and replaces them with a greater proportion of black, which significantly reduces the overall quantity of toner used and ultimately also reduces the toner costs of the CX1200e.

The powerful software package includes additional features for job, colour, workflow and output management, such as:

• Collective Job (Nesting) – allows to combine several print jobs into one collective container and to arrange them either optimised for cutting or material savings.
• Color Replacement – enables automatic or manual (spot) colour replacement with direct measurement device integration. Any input colour or colour range (RGB, CMYK, spot) can be replaced with CMYK and L*a*b* colours.
• Gamut Viewer – offers impressive 2D and 3D comparisons of different colour spaces, visualising which print colours are possible with CX1200e.
• Print and Cut Module– synchronises the CX1200e printing and FX1200e cutting functionality by automatically adding black marks to the printed output and generating the cut file.
