With Primera’s digital label printing equipment product labels really stand out

WIESBADEN, Germany (March 24, 2015) – Smart product labelling and packaging is extremely important and plays a significant role in the consumer’s purchasing decision. Manufacturers of almost any type of product often find themselves in need of short- to medium-run, full-colour customised product labels. The printed quality and appearance of these labels are extremely important. At Gulf Print & Pack, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, United Arab Emirates, April 13-16, 2015, Primera Technology Europe will present its digital label printing solutions to the international audience at the company booth #A3. Not only will Primera show its existing range of dry-toner and inkjet-based label printers, but it will also show its LX2000e Color Label Printer, a new industrial-grade desktop printer.

LX2000e features large ink tanks for lower cost per label, fast print speeds and pigment ink for better water and UV resistance. Other highlights include built-in wired/Ethernet or wireless connection options, "pizza wheel" cutter, front colour LCD control panel and viewing window for label stock levels.

Primera Technology has successfully developed short to medium-run solutions using inkjet technology, such as the LX900e Color Label Printer. Its print resolution of 4800 dpi guarantees a printout in photorealistic quality and enables users to add vibrant pictures of their products next to small texts such as ingredients, instructions or barcodes and still every detail of that label is razor-sharp. Labels can be printed whenever they are needed and in the required quantity. Separate ink cartridges for each colour keep operating costs low. Short runs are printed fast and efficiently, helping to increase the production of your products.

The LX900e’s new, specially-designed pigment inks, when paired with Primera’s Tuffcoat Extreme Polyjet material, offer far more stability against harsh conditions including water, chemicals, abrasion and exposure to long periods of UV light. A significant advantage of the LX900e’s implementation of pigment inks is that the printer can use either type of ink by simply changing out the removable printhead – an exclusive feature that sets the LX900e apart from other desktop label printers.

Primera’s pigment inks meet the standards of BS5609, one of the most rigid durability qualifications in the world for printed output. Printed labels are exposed to immersion in water, salt spray, abrasion and UV light. Conforming to this standard is required for producing GHS hazardous material labels on a desktop label printer.
