A Touch of Elegance or As Easy As “One, Two, Three”

Primera presents several print solutions for different applications at London Wine Fair

Wiesbaden, Germany (May 8, 2014) – At the London Wine Fair Primera Technology Europe, a leading manufacturer of label printing equipment, will be presenting its FX400e Foil Imprinter. FX400e, an optional accessory to Primera’s LX-Series Colour Label Printers, applies shiny gold and silver borders, fonts and other graphics to inkjet- or laser-printed labels.

Especially wine labels can benefit from shiny metallic borders and graphics as labels then convey luxury and elegance and therefore emphasize the high quality and value of each product.

Other colours such as red, blue, greenand yellow as well as clearfilm are available. When printed onto inkjet-printed labels, the clear film not only adds a professional, glossy finish but also makes labels virtually waterproof. Additionally, the clear film adds UV resistance to printed output, allowing longer exposure to natural and artificial light sources.

Besides showing the FX400e Foil Imprinter Primera will test launch its Touch’n’Print solution – a new all-in-one print solution that makes it easy to design and print labels. It shouldn’t take an IT specialist and professional designer to print full-colour product labels. Especially small businesses, which don’t have a separate marketing and IT department and can’t afford to let the designs be created by design agencies, need a solution that makes label printing as easy as counting to three. And three is also the number of steps customers would have to follow until the desired label is printed:

1. Select a pre-designed label layout
2. Choose or type in additional content (e.g. best before date, weight/volume, charge number etc.) and graphics (e.g. barcodes, specific food/drink icons such as the Vegan Flower, Fair Trade etc.)
3. Press the “Print” button

All three steps are simply done on the included all-in-one touch screen shuttle PC, no keyboard or mouse necessary.
