Graphitec 2013: Award for Primera's New In-House Laser Marking System

LP130e Laser Marking System receives "Coup de cœur" award from the GRAPHITEC'XPERTS committee.

Wiesbaden, Germany (May 30, 2013) — Prior to the French graphic chain exhibition Graphitec the LP130e Laser Marking System from Primera Technology, a leading manufacturer of specialty printers, was selected by an expert jury to be one of twelve "Coup de cœur" new and innovative products. The committee made its choice among 49 products/equipment/services in six categories and Primera's LP130e will be also presented at the "Place des nouveautés" during the exhibition.

The Graphitec is taking place in Paris, Porte de Versailles, June 11th to 14th. Primera's booth is located at 4 C 006.

In-house production of labels and tags for use in harsh-duty applications was not possible until now with a specially-designed laser diode along with high-precision, matched optics. Instead of inkjet or thermal transfer technology, which generally have less durability than laser-marked materials, labels and tags can be used in a wide range of severe and harsh-duty applications, including military labels, UDI labels for medical devices, automobile VIN and under-hood part number, warning and instruction labels, aerospace and solar panel labels, serial tags for outdoor equipment, automobile parts, building materials and much more.

Printer drivers are included for Windows® XP, Vista, 7 and 8. Also included is easy to use label design and printing software from Seagull Scientific called BarTender® Primera SE UltraLite for Windows.

Besides LP130e Primera is also presenting its whole range of color label printers including Primera's best-selling CX1200e/FX1200e Digital Printing and Finishing System. CX1200e and FX1200e offer the ability to print, laminate, die cut, slit, rewind and remove the waste matrix. Finishing speeds of up to 6.1 meters per minute are accomplished with Primera's patent-pending exclusive QuadraCut™ technology. QuadraCut uses up to four knife blades at a time across the web. This feature dramatically increases throughput compared to systems that have just a single blade and emphasizes Primera's leading role in the industry.

Other innovations like the CX1000e Color Label Printer, rewarded with the "Nouveauté 2012", RX900e Color RFID printer, rewarded with the "Coup de cœur" and amazing new label materials will be presented as well and "we look forward to demonstrate to all show visitors how easy it can be for manufacturers and distributors to be flexible and independent when it comes to high-quality label production," said Hoffmann.
