Primera Honors Creative Label Designs

Contest takes place at Primera’s stand 4 DE 106 at Emballage

WIESBADEN (November 22, 2012) — For the second time Primera Technology, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of specialty printers, awarded with its French distributor LPS the most beautiful label layout during a French trade fair. In order to participate all submitted layouts had to be produced with Primera’s CX1200e/FX1200e combo system.

On November 21, 2012 a committee of industry experts evaluated eleven different label designs. This year’s committee, run by Marie Aubin – last year’s winner and owner of the French company Braizait Étiquettes – gathered following experts from different parts of packaging and label industry: Jean Poncet, editor in chief of Etiq & Pack, Franck Accornero of international paper and label manufacturer UPM Raflatac, Andreas Hoffmann, managing director of Primera Europe as well as Jean Marc Raimbault of paper manufacturer Manter and Sophie Serrano, owner of pharmaceutical supplier and end user Waiora Serrano.

That same day the winner was announced. This year first rank for the most beautiful label went to company Concept Emballage and its label Cuvée Edelweiss. Product and label build a perfect symbiosis and increase the value of the product. Committee leader Mrs. Aubin presented the first place trophy. In addition Concept Emballage received a two-day all-inclusive trip to France most popular Compagnie des Spas worth 400 euros.

The label layout convinces with its exceptional form and the combination of its detailed cut lines and the used label stock,” explained the committee its decision. “The design emphasizes the product and its value.”

The second to fourth placed also didn’t go home with empty hands. They received premium-quality watches sponsored by UMP Raflatac and supplies by LPS.

Manufacturer Primera itself was rewarded for its continuous work in the label industry. The Emballage “Pack Experts Committee”, which gathers 13 industry experts, named the CX1000e Color Label Printer a “Nouveauté 2012” – a new product novelty – in the category “Pack Innovation”. Moreover, it then received the “Pack Innovation Award” in the category “machines, systems, equipment” and is presented on the ”Pack Innovation Area“ in hall 6.

Of course we’re excited to receive again this prestigious award,” responded Hoffmann after receiving the good news. “There’s no greater affirmation of our work than this award.” Already at Emballage 2010 another Primera product received this award: the FX1200e Digital Finishing System.
