Graphitec 2011: Award for world's First and Only On-Demand Color RFID Label Printer

RX900e Color RFID Printer receives "Coup de cœur" award from the GRAPHITEC'XPERTS committee

WIESBADEN, GERMANY (May 30, 2011) — Prior to the French graphic chain exhibition Graphitec the RX900e Color RFID Printer from Primera Technology, a leading manufacturer of specialty printers, was selected by an expert jury to be one of eight Coup de cœur new and innovative products. Over 100 products were submitted and 52 of them will be presented at the Place des nouveautés during the exhibition. The Graphitec is taking place in Paris, Porte de Versailles, June 7th to 10th. Primera's booth is located at 4 D 006.

Besides RX900e Primera is also presenting its FX1200e Digital Finishing System. The FX1200e offers, in one single process, the ability to laminate, die cut, slit, rewind and remove the waste matrix. Finishing speeds of up to 6.1 meters per minute are accomplished with Primera's patent-pending exclusive QuadraCut™ technology. QuadraCut uses up to four knife blades at a time across the web. This feature dramatically increases throughput compared to systems that have just a single blade and emphasizes Primera's leading role in the industry.

One of the major benefits of this finishing system is innovation in the die-cutting process. Instead of hard tooled or flexible steel dies, the FX1200e uses digitally controlled tungsten carbide steel knife blades. This means that users never have to buy a die or wait for it to be made and delivered. Turnarounds will be faster and there is a significant saving in time and cost.

FX1200e is the perfect companion to a variety of narrow-web digital output devices, including Primera’s best-selling CX1200e Digital Color Label Press, which was first introduced to the French audience at the last Graphitec in 2009.
