If you notice that your print quality is poor at the beginning of a print but gets better as it continues to print, your ink wiper may have accumulated ink. Clean the wiper by rubbing it with a cotton tip cleaner that has beed dipped in water. The wiper is made of a soft clear rubber that cleans the print nozzles and is located on the right side of the Printer under the Cartridge (normally hidden from view). You will need to put the printer in wiper maintenance mode using the instructions below:
- Open the cover.
- Press and hold the "Pause" button for 3 seconds.
- The Printer will move the Cartridge Carrier to the left revealing the wiper beneath on the far right side of the Printer.
- Clean the wiper with a cotton tip cleaner that has beed dipped in water.
- The wiper will stay in this position for 10 minutes or until you press the "Pause" button again.
